  3. Public Hearing - Permitted Land Uses

    Due to a lack of quorum, the Aug. 8 PPC meeting and public hearing were continued to Thurs., Aug. 23.

    The Planning Policy Commission will hold a hearing on Aug. 9, 2018, to take public testimony on the proposed amendments to the Central Issaquah Development and Design Standards regarding Table 4.3B Permitted Land Uses. The amendments propose to limit land uses from Central Issaquah Plan area that do not further the Central Issaquah vision of, “vibrant, appealing and visually engaging place to live, work and play” including the uses being inter-related to the open spaces and creating pedestrian orientation and encouraging social interaction. All uses proposed to be limited in Central Issaquah are permitted in other zoning districts outside of Central Issaquah. The proposed amendment is limited to Chapter 4.0 Zoning, Uses and Standards Summary, Table 4.3B Permitted Land Uses. These proposed amendments may change as a result of the public review process.

  1. Gas Station Blues

    In partnership with the Washington Blues Society, the Downtown Issaquah Association (DIA) is excited to announce its third season of Gas Station Blues. In addition to amazing blues music, there will be a beer garden sponsored by Rogue, and BardsleyQue will be on site serving up mouthwatering BBQ with all the fix in's. Come early and picnic on the grass, or enjoy one of the fantastic galleries or restaurants along Front Street before the show. Bring your own chair; a funky and/or decorated chair could win you a prize! This is a free, all-ages event open to the public.

    This week, enjoy the music of Alice Stuart, a member of WA Blues Society Hall of Fame, and major award winner at the NW Folk Alliance in 2017. Alice is notable for opening the door to women guitarists and encouraging them to and front their own bands.
