Learn More: 2017 Citizen Survey Results

In 2017, Issaquah used the statistically-valid National Citizen Survey to learn more about residents’ view on City services and Issaquah's quality of life.

Issaquah partnered with a long-established, independent firm — the Colorado-based National Research Center — to conduct the survey.

740 households throughout Issaquah were randomly selected last year to participate and responses were then compiled by the National Research Center into a report

The survey collected feedback on a variety of issues including safety, environmental quality, economic vitality, transportation and more.

92% of respondents answered that they considered Issaquah to be an excellent or good place to live. 96% felt safe in their neighborhoods and 90% said it was a good place to raise children. Some of the top ranked issues were traffic flow and the lack of affordable quality housing.  To see all of the survey results read the report

The National Citizen Survey is designed specifically for use by local governments.

Because similar surveys are conducted in hundreds of cities nationwide, we can compare Issaquah’s results with other communities throughout the United States.

The information collected will help us better serve our community.
