62nd Street: Tree Removal

To prepare for upcoming construction of the Southeast 62nd Street extension project, crews will soon be removing trees along:
  • Both sides of Lake Drive (between 10th Avenue Northwest and the Pickering Trail) for future improvements.
  • The future route of the Southeast 62nd extension on the west side of Issaquah Creek.
Later on during the project, various deciduous trees will be replanted along Lake Drive. 

Meanwhile, the project also:
  • Preserves close to six acres of property between the north fork and main stem of Issaquah Creek, which were previously zoned for multi-family development.
  • Constructs two acres of wetland.
  • Makes enhancements to the North Fork of Issaquah Creek.
